La juarense Darah Ponce se convirti\u00f3 en la subcampeona del mundo, luego del combate contra la kazaja Aiym Serikbayeva en la final del Tashkent 2026 World Taekwondo Junior Championships, torneo que se efect\u00faa en Tashkent, Uzbekist\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Ponce comenz\u00f3 con gran ritmo al derrotar a la finlandesa Aina Kirtselis por dos rounds a cero en octavos de final; tambi\u00e9n por dos a cero derrot\u00f3 a la bielorrusa Dziyana Tolkina, coloc\u00e1ndose en cuartos de final, donde enfrent\u00f3 a la rusa Elina Kamalova, a quien tambi\u00e9n le aplic\u00f3 el dos a cero, asegurando medalla en esta competencia.<\/p>\n

Darah lleg\u00f3 a la semifinal para enfrentar a la francesa Layna Bedouel, a quien tambi\u00e9n venci\u00f3 por dos rounds a cero y as\u00ed buscar el campeonato del mundo.<\/p>\n

En la final, la juarense se enfrent\u00f3 a Aiym Serikbayeva, de Kazajist\u00e1n, el primer round fue bastante peleado, pero la fronteriza logr\u00f3 quedarse con el triunfo al ganar 21 a 12.<\/p>\n

Para el segundo asalto la kazaja sali\u00f3 con todo y derrot\u00f3 a la juarense por 12 a 0 para definir todo en el \u00faltimo asalto.<\/p>\n

A pesar de que Ponce por momentos se fue arriba en el marcador, la kazaja ajust\u00f3 la estrategia y se qued\u00f3 con el triunfo 12 a 7.<\/p>\n
